The executive presbytery constitutes the board of directors of The General Council of the Assemblies of God. Each member is elected to serve a four-year term. The 2025 General Council in Orlando, Florida elected three new executive presbyters.

Donald E. Ross

Donald E. Ross was elected as the Northwest Area executive presbyter. He has served as the Northwest Ministry Network superintendent and team leader since 2014. The network includes 350 churches and 1,400 ministers in Washington state and North Idaho. The Northwest Ministry Network prioritizes church planting and has launched 135 new congregations in the last eight years.

Prior to his current role, Ross served as lead pastor of Creekside Church in Seattle from 1995 to 2014. The 60-year-old church, once with 2,000 in attendance, had declined over 15 years to 150. Over the next 10 years, Ross led the church in addressing issues which had caused decline and relocating to a new campus in Mountlake Terrace where a remodeled campus helped the congregation grow to 700 people.

Ross holds a B.A. in Biblical Literature and a D.Min. with focus on leading turnaround churches, from Northwest University. He is the author of Turnaround Pastor, which details the journey of Creekside Church and outlines key principles needed in a church turnaround, and Tale of Two Churches, which focuses on the purpose and power of the local church.

Don and his wife, Brenda, have three children and eight grandchildren.
