50 Percent of Households Listen to Podcasts
Users becoming more diverse
Half of all U.S. households now include at least one podcast fan, according to a recent report from Nielsen.
That translates to more than 60 million households tuning in to this growing digital medium.
The report also reveals that podcast audiences are becoming more diverse. While minorities made up just 30 percent of podcast fans in 2010, the number rose to 36 percent in 2016.
Many churches and ministry organizations have taken note of the trend and now use podcasts for evangelism, discipleship and leadership development.
