Religious Beliefs Are Number One Influence on Voting Patterns
Encourage your congregation to vote for Christian values
The election is less than a week away, and it’s likely that some sitting in your church this Sunday still haven’t made up their minds as to whom they’re voting for.
According to a new report from Barna, religious beliefs are the number one influence on American adults’ political leanings. And when focusing on the Evangelical population, church pastors are the second most influential.
While you shouldn't tell your congregation whom to vote for, you can encourage them to stay true to Christian values — even in the voting process. This Sunday, we encourage you to lead your church in prayer for the election. You can find recommended prayer points here.
