On March 25, 2020, the United States Senate passed the 900-page $2.2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act by a vote of 96-0. The House of Representatives passed the legislation two days later, and President Donald Trump signed the bill into law the same day.
