Last year, the Assemblies of God surveyed 6,800 credentialed ministers regarding the state of their finances. One of the survey’s findings was that many AG ministers are not prepared for retirement. Twenty-seven percent had no retirement savings at all. Of the 73 percent with some retirement savings, 50 percent had less than $65,000.

Additionally, the survey revealed that 33 percent of AG ministers had no personal savings at all. For those with non-retirement savings, 50 percent had less than $2,000. Faced with a major financial crisis, these ministers would have no way to meet it.
